Our Trial Program was designed to allow boys and girls, ages 5-12 the chance to try a Martial Arts Class to see if they like it before enrolling for classes. This also allows parents time to learn about a healthy and safe kids activity that is foreign to most. Our Trial Programs are Risk Free, No-Obligations or pressure to enroll for regular classes. We ask kids to try one class, if they like it… they have a new home. If they don’t, they never have to come back again… you never know until you try.

Classes are held two times per week for beginner students. Classes run from late afternoon to early evening, perfect for kids who attend school (see class schedule for age specific days and times). You have the flexibility to choose the days and times that best suit your schedule. We also have a flexible make-up policy just in case you miss a class or two for whatever reason.

Absolutely. Our community of parents often become friends. We’re sure you’ll meet some other great moms and dads and bond over your child’s martial arts journey. Feel welcome to sit in one of our chairs, on either side of our dojo and watch as long as you’d like. But please don’t feel pressured to stay if you need to take off. Many parents use our Union City kids martial arts class time as a chance to get coffee, relax, get beauty treatments, etc. It’s completely up to you!

A whole book can be written on this one question, but in a nutshell…. Your child will learn to unleash their inner warrior with other new warriors while being introduced to the basic movements of karate including cool kicks and epic karate moves. Your child’s focus, discipline, and self-control will increase through the building of their self-esteem and confidence while making positive new friends along the way. They will exercise their body from head to toe and not even realize they are doing it. Your child will leave class sweating, smiling, and wanting to come back for more.

Our philosophy of teaching kids is one of safety, nurturing, and positive reinforcement. Safety is our #1 Priority, we have numerous safety measures in place. Our kids martial arts classes are structured, disciplined and fun. It’s also known that kids learn best while having fun and in a positive environment, so we encourage, inspire, and motivate our students towards success. This, in turn helps our warriors develop a positive mindset to use outside the dojo.

All kidding aside, we are talking about kids here. We don’t train our kids like adults. We teach our kids self-“defense,” not self-“offense.” At our dojo, we prioritize teaching kids’ self-defense skills in a unique and exciting way. Before diving into the details of punches, kicks and self-defense moves, we focus on something even cooler with our kids – how “not” to fight! Yes, you read that right! We’ve got some pretty awesome strategies to share with your child that’ll make them masters of awareness, deflection, and peacekeeping. It’s all about fostering confidence and respect while keeping things fun and engaging. So, get ready for your child to learn the art of peaceful warriorship!

At the end of your trial program there are no obligations. You will be clearly informed and presented with all the program options when you attend your first class. If you would like to enroll for regular classes, you will be hand-walked through the simple process.

We don’t ask parents to sign contracts for our kids’ martial arts classes. Our kids martial arts classes are on a month-by-month basis. Our focus is on flexibility and making sure families are happy with their decision to join us. We believe in the essential value, importance, and benefits kids gain from training in our martial arts program, not because of a contract, but because of the life transforming benefits as a result.
